Why You Should Read...Artemis Fowl(series) by Eoin Colfer

Artemis Fowl the Second is no ordinary 12 year old.  He’s a criminal mastermind who can outsmart anyone on the planet….as well as those inside the planet.  From a young age, his father raised him with the family motto “Aurum Potestas Est” or “Gold is Power”.  So when he finds out about the secret community of fairies living below the surface, and that they had lots of gold, he decides to be the first one to take some of it.  After kidnapping a fairy, who happens to be a captain of the fairy police force, Captain Holly Short.  This event started the series of attacks the fairies launched against the great Artemis Fowl and his bodyguard, Butler.  Can Artemis’ plan outsmart the fairies’ sheer numbers and powerful, time-stopping magic, or will Artemis end up in a “fowl” mood?

This series was very exciting and also very interesting, and the ideas Artemis comes up with are simply ingenious.  Eoin Colfer sets the stage with an amazing book, leaving you wanting more of Artemis and his sophisticated and cunning plans.  My favorite part of this series was the way Artemis thwarted evil plans with his own ingenious(and sometimes evil) plans with the help of his one-man army, the bodyguard Butler.  His cunningness makes me smile from the beginning to the end of the story, and through all the other books in this series.  I also liked how the point of views switched to many different characters periodically, and it let me see all the perspectives of the story. This book incorporates a genius so ingenious that he's surpassed nerd-hood, soldier elves, farting dwarves, sassy centaurs and evil pixies. Who wouldn't want to read a book like that?

There is one problem I have with this series.  All of the stories have really slow storylines.  As exciting as it sounds, the book has to explain some of the boring stuff to the reader, and I think these explanations take a bit too long.  This problem actually didn’t occur much in some books, but a few of the other books do have this problem.  Other than the slow-paced story-line, this book was great!

Artemis Fowl is an ingenious story, and everyone should read it.  Even if you don’t like fantasy and fairies, what’s the harm in reading about a criminal mastermind?

Diep.io New Classes!

Hi!  Here is another Diep.io post.  There is one class that I missed, called Fighter, and another one which I do not know the name of.

Here are a bunch of new classes from the updates in Diep.io.

This is the gunner class.  Shoots small bullets, upgrades from machine gun.

This is the hunter class.  It shoots 2 bullets at a time, one small, one big.  Upgrade from sniper.

The pictures below are all stalker class.  With stalker, you turn invisible when you stop moving and shooting.  Upgrade from assassin class.

This is manager class.  It is half overseer, half stalker.  You turn invisible when you stop moving, but your triangles remain visible and movable.  Upgrade from overseer.

This is the triple twin.  It has shoots bullets in three directions.  Upgrade from twin flank.

This is hybrid.  It shoots destroyer bullets that do immense damage, and has two triangles which automatically attack any shapes near you.  Upgrade from destroyer.

This is booster class.  True to it's name, you get an immense speed boost with this class.  Shoots many bullets behind you.  Upgrade from tri-angle.

Why You Should Read...Spy School(series) by Stuart Gibbs!

Ben was normal.  He went to a normal school, lived in a normal house, ate normal foods, did normal things.  He had a normal life(other than the fact that he was a math genius), until one day when a debonair spy had asked him whether he wanted to become a spy and learn at the CIA Academy of Espionage.  As being a spy was Ben's dream, he accepted, oblivious to the dangers he would face only about 5400 seconds later.  Ben begins to doubt his choice when he runs from enemy snipers, attacks highly trained assassins with a tennis racket, and finds out about a secret that could blow his mind....along with everyone else's.
(If you read this book you would understand that pun :P)

This book was really fun to read.  Stuart Gibbs likes to entertain his readers through mystery and comedy, and excite his readers with a small drop of romance at the end of his books.  It really excites you, especially when you get really giddy when it goes to romance(Yes, I get really giddy).  I overall loved this series.  Like when I first saw the book, I was like.  Mneh(Mneh is a word from this series).  And then when I started reading I was like "THIS IS SWAWESOME(Yes another word from this series)".  My favorite part about this series are the endings of each book, where Ben(main character) just reveals the bad guy's entire plan and then ruins the plan and then saves the day, like it's swawesome!  Read this book!!!

JustinTalksBooks - An Awesome Blog My Friend Has!

As you could probably tell from the title, I'm promoting my friends' blog!  Now I know you have a very important question.  If I supposedly have no friends, then why do I say I have a friend in the title of this post?  Well, when I say I have no friends, I mean no friends that I have in real life.  My friend here, well, we met on Stuart Gibbs' blog when we started a debate about whether two characters from a story were going to end up dating each other.  Anyways, I didn't even find out what he looked like until this morning, when I looked at his Instagram page.  He's different than what I thought he looked like, but he's still really really really awesome and cool, so check out his blog!

I will admit, after you visit his blog, you'll probably completely ditch my blog.  Yes it's that good.  Like this dude is funny, and somehow makes himself look cool rather than pathetic(unlike me).  He does book reviews, has his own really cool fanfics(despite all the plot holes I manage to point out.  But I'm sure my stuff have plot holes too.  Maybe.)  Anyways, check him out.  He's been blogging much longer than I have so he has a lot of posts!  He sort of inspired me to make this blog so I'm like a wannabe! Lol.

Clash Royale: Beating My Friend With Bad Battle Decks!

Hey guys!  I play Clash Royale, and I have a video to show you guys!  Okay the two people fighting each other are both my accounts, but my friend came to my house so I let him use one.  I let him use the "Animaster" account while I used the "Joe Awsum" account.  Since I was more experienced and the account I was using was a higher level, I decided to make bad battle decks and try to win with them.  I won every single match, except for the time when I used an all building battle deck(which I almost won if we had like 10 more seconds maybe).  There was one game that "Animaster" won, but that was because my friend said that my "Animaster" battle deck sucked, so we switched accounts and I destroyed my friend with "Animaster".  Anyways, he's overall a really bad Clash Royale player.  Enjoy the video!

Cover Stories: Lodestar, Keeper of the Lost Cities Book 5

Predicting what is happening on the cover.



The ancient building spread out before them, so old that green vines crept across the stone blocks and covered the translucent windows like a green curtain.  Something about the place sent a chill down Sophie's spine.  Sophie looked around, taking in her surroundings and making sure no one followed her here.  She pocketed her leaping crystal and bottle of light and entered the building.  Sophie wrapped her cape around her cold body and raised her hood.  She didn't need a light source to see in the dark; someone already had a fire going inside the church-like structure.  She approached the fire and the boy in the dark cloak who sat across from where she stood.  An eye within a circle was sewn on the shoulder of his cloak.  Upon Sophie's approach, the boy rose to his feet and gazed sadly at her.

     "Sophie.  I'm so sorry..." He apologized, his voice filled with sincerity and sadness.
     "What do you want?" Sophie snarled, unable to bring herself to look at his ice blue eyes.  The eyes of a traitor.  The eyes of a murderer.  The eyes of Keefe Sencen.  A week ago, she vaguely remembered promising that she would never hate Keefe.  But there was no way she could deny her destructive anger toward him now.  She was so angry she barely noticed her eyes overflow with tears and drip down her face.
     "I-I need to warn you about-"
     "Warn me about who you're going to kill next!?"  The words hit Keefe like a slap.  He had no answer to that.  Sophie sucked in a deep breath to calm herself.  When she spoke again, her voice was remarkably more controlled, although still filled with pain.
     "Why, Keefe?  Why join the Neverseen?  Why-why kill...him?"  Now it was Keefe's turn to look away.  After a moment, he decided to ignore her questions.
     "They decided t-to...they want to kill you, Sophie," he warned, "They'll attack when you-"  Before Keefe could finish an invisible force slammed against his head and he fell to the ground.  The invisible person turned visible for a second, then disappeared again and pinned Keefe to the ground and gagged him.  It was Alvar.
     "Keefe!"  Sophie started toward him, but froze when he saw two figures in cloaks stalk toward her.  One threw back his hood and laughed and formed a ball of golden fire in his hand.  The other one stayed quiet and anonymous.
     "Brant?"  In response, he threw the ball of golden fire at her.  Sophie threw out her hands and a brilliant white shield saved her from the everblaze.  Brant formed another flame in his hand, but someone flew out from the shadows and pinned him down.  Another figure jumped out at the other figure, but slammed into a white shield much like Sophie's, and screamed out in pain before falling to the ground.  It was Fitz and Tam.  They had followed her here, even after she thought she made sure no one had followed her.  Before she could recover from the surprise of their presence an invisible force tackled her to the ground.  She released the rage she was holding in out and Alvar screamed out and rolled off her, writhing in pain on the ground.  She scampered away to help Tam, who was now trapped in a cylinder of light.  She directed her inflicting at the psionpath, who formed a shield just in time to block her attack and cause her an agonizing headache.  Fitz, who had beat Brant unconscious with the element of surprise, reached for Sophie's hand, but was interrupted by a wall of light that circled around and Tam.  The cylinder slowly started closing in on them, threatening to crush them.

     "Stop!" Sophie shouted at the psionpath.  He only cackled.
     "We have plans for you, Foster.  Follow them, and I will spare your friends."
     "Don't do it Sophie!" Fitz warned, and pressed his hand to the shield.  Tam slammed his fist on the shield, causing little bolts of lightning to streak across the force field.  Sophie couldn't let her friends die!  But what should she do?  If she denied his request, she and her friends would die.  If she accepted, she could have to kill many elves.  What would she do?

Why You Should/Shouldn't Read...The Five Kingdoms(series) by Brandon Mull

The Outskirts is an in-between place, a place between wakefulness and dreaming, a place between reality and imagination, a place between life and death, a place with pockets in time and space, and a place that stretches the limits of technological innovation.  It is also the place where Cole and his friends were taken, enslaved and separated from each other.  Cole sets out on a breath-taking journey to rescue his friends and get back onto Earth, and at the same time helping a long-lost princess find her sisters and overthrow evil overlords.

I think you should read the Five Kingdoms if you love fantasy and don't care about romance, because, well, the Five Kingdoms series is practically all fantasy, and like no romance.  Obviously.  Besides lacking of other genres, Brandon Mull is very very creative, and the Outskirts(setting of the story) is the place I want to visit the most out of all the fantasy books(Yes, even the Lost Cities...Yes I know the Lost Cities have beautiful crystal buildings which are better than the wooden shacks in the Outskirts...Yes I still want to go to the Outskirts more...Okay, stop making me doubt myself...Shut it.).  Anyways, the Outskirts have tons of cool places, plus I'll most likely have really cool shaping(hopefully Sambrian shaping!...No it's not because I can create friends since I don't have any in real life!  Ok, maybe a little bit actually.).  Anyways it's really cool.

I didn't really like a lot of parts of this series, because it wasn't really interesting sometimes.  The first and third books were really interesting, but the second and fourth books, especially the fourth book, moved slowly and weren't as interesting as the others.  I was actually really disappointed when I read the fourth book, because the majority of the story they were just running around looking for help.  I also didn't like how there wasn't any romance, but that's just personal preference.  But read the book anyway.

Diep.io Necromancer!!!

If you don't know what Diep.io is, I think you should visit my other post!  It's right below this one!  Anyways, in my previous post about Diep.io, I reached Overseer, which basically allows you to control triangles.  Now this time, I reached Necromancer, which allows you to take control of squares that you destroy around you!

Here, I was under attack by a dude who I ended up killing with my squares.

I also managed to reach Lvl 45, the highest lvl in the game so far, in the tank class, which is the first class you start with!

Diep.io 1st Place!!!

Hey!  I've been playing this really fun game for a while!  It's called Diep.io!  Basically you are a tank, and you shoot the red balls.  You can destroy objects and other players for XP and points.  You have different levels.  When you reach lvl 15 you can choose to become a different type of tank, like sniper, twin, machine gun, or flank guard.  I reached the top of the leader boards!

As you can see, I am first, with 55971 points.  Ignore the rather immature and very inappropriate name 2nd on the score board.  I got to first by going onto the Twin path.

In this photo, I managed to get to Overseer, which is ridiculously hard class to get to(at least for me), but really fun to use.
